Mary Sullivan Holdgrafer is a creativity coach, artist and facilitator. Mary has an interest in how the creative process can be used to enhance personal growth.
She works as a creativity coach and she leads a series of courses that focus on issues that are particularly relevant to creative individuals. She challenges artists to confront the issues that block their creativity. She is on the faculty of the Haven. She also works as a facilitator at the Bridgepoint Center for Eating Disorders in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Using her art to record her own experiences with breast cancer led Mary to do research about women who have made breast cancer quilts. Mary has written extensively about the value of creative work as a means of personal healing. She has a chapter in a soon to be published book about art and spirituality.
Mary has an undergraduate degree in Home Economics and a master’s degree in Education, as well as a diploma in counseling. She spent many years working as a teacher and administrator before turning her attention to the fascinating process of creativity.
Her work has appeared in galleries, museums and exhibitions in Canada and the United States.
