Are you a professional artist - or on the verge of taking the plunge?
The smARTist™ Telesummit starts 17 January 2008. I enrolled in last year's event and could not have been more pleased with the valuable content and inspiration I got out of it.
No traveling involved! You attend via your phone and computer!
Over seven days, 13 experts will give 15 keynote presentations with lots of great handouts. Everything will be recorded and put online, so you don't have to worry if you miss a session here and there.
Marketing, selling, business skills, creativity and time organization are the key topics.
Go take a look at their website. (You’ll even see my photo near the top of their main page as I’ve provided a testimonial, I was so impressed with my experience in 07!) - Stacey Apeitos

Coming Up in Astarte's Mega-Zine (a sneak peak at issue 5)
Our "Dreaming" issue (Issue 5), is taking shape and will be released February 1st. Here's a little snippet from Ann Markle's article on Dreaming and Creativity.
It’s obvious that creativity has to do with art – with work we create or wish to, whatever our preferred medium. But creativity also pervades every aspect of the way we live our lives. How we resolve conflicts at work or with others, how we perceive and prioritize our lives (half-empty, or half-full, as they say), how we feather our nests at home, and how we dream about our future, all require creativity, open-mindedness, and fresh perspectives. Just as it’s literally true that when we quit dreaming, we go mad, it’s also true for these other aspects of our lives. If we quit dreaming, quit using that creative, unconscious part of our minds, we first become stale and apathetic, but eventually, we go mad. (article continues in issue 5.)
Ann Markle worked as a psychotherapist for 21 years prior to becoming an Episcopal Priest. Drawing, painting, photography and other art pursuits play an important role in her life. Read her blog, One Wild and Precious Life. |
